The Magick Draft: Finding Joy and Truth in the Writing Process
Join us for this intuitive creative writing class, where students will use magickal tools to make the writing process fun! It’s a little bit of magick, a little bit of shadow work, a little bit of inner child healing, and a little bit of writing.
This beginner level class is for anyone – those who have always wanted to write, but never found the time or inspiration; the seasoned writers looking to reignite their spark for writing; or anyone who could use some group activity as the nights get longer.
All are welcome. Please come with an open mind and a notebook, and a tarot or oracle deck if you have one.
This is a four-week workshop series, but it is not required to attend all four classes.

Meet Your Instructor
Shanna Riker
Shanna is an NYC-based theatre kid turned filmmaker. As a multi- award winning Director-Writer-Producer and co-founder of Honey & Hemlock Productions, she strives to tell impactful stories with women at the lead, either in front of or behind the camera.
Over the course of 10+ years in this industry, she has directed and/or produced eight short films, as well as multiple national commercials and countless corporate videos.
In 2023, the Austin Revolution Film Festival named her their Female Filmmaker of the Year!
